InFocus IN5535 at Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary

Video artist Doug Hall created an immersive two-screen video projection of the Golden Gate Bridge for its 75th anniversary celebration that was displayed underneath the southern expanse of the bridge by InFocus IN5535 projectors. The work’s title, Chrysopylae — Greek for “golden gate” — references the name given to the entrance of the Bay by explorer John C. Frémont in 1846. The piece emphasizes the monumentality of both the ships and the structure above them, and the interplay of images reveals the bridge as part of an environment that is at once natural and human-made. Hall says his IN5535 projectors withstood the challenging environment and "performed beautifully."
